Firm pulse

牢脉 〔牢脈〕láo mài

Also confined pulse (Obs.). A forceful sunken pulse that feels tied to the bone; hence its name. It is associated with cold pain. In clinical practice, the name firm pulse is rarely used. Instead it is called a stringlike sunken pulse or a sunken full pulse.
