Expiration sweating

绝汗 〔絕汗〕jué hàn

Also desertion sweating. Sweating in critical conditions where severance of yīn and yáng is imminent. Expiration of qì is characterized by putting forth of pearly sweat that sticks to the body and does not run. Dispersion of qì is marked by putting forth of oily sweat, and incessant panting. Extreme vacuity is marked by incessant cold sweating.

Medicinal therapy: Return yáng and stem desertion with medicinals such as ginseng (Ginseng Radix, 人参 rén shēn), aconite (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, 附子 fù zǐ), dragon bone (Mastodi Ossis Fossilia, 龙骨 lóng gǔ), and oyster shell (Ostreae Concha, 牡蛎 mǔ lì).
