生津 〔生津〕 shēng jīn

Also nourishing the fluids. A method of treatment used to address damage to liquid in febrile disease, manifesting in heat effusion, dry mouth and thirst, red tongue, and dry lips etc., with medicinals such as scrophularia (Scrophulariae Radix, 玄参 xuán shēn), ophiopogon (Ophiopogonis Radix, 麦门冬 mài mén dōng), dried/fresh rehmannia (Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, 生地黄 shēng dì huáng), and dendrobium (Dendrobii Herba, 石斛 shí hú).
