Dryness-heat damaging the lung
燥热伤肺 〔燥熱傷肺〕zào rè shāng fèi
Also dryness-heat invading the lung. Dryness-heat evil wearing lung liquid and making lung qì unable to diffuse and downbear. Dryness-heat damaging the lung is characterized by dry cough without phlegm or with scant sticky phlegm, red tongue with little liquid, a dry thin white tongue fur, and a fine rapid floating pulse that may be large at the left inch position. These signs are often accompanied by tidal heat, headache, and constipation.
Medicinal therapy: Diffuse with lightness and moisten dryness. Compare autumn dryness.
