Disquieted heart spirit

心神不安 〔心神不安〕xīn shén bù ān

Spirit disturbed as a result of the heart’s failure to store it. The spirit is stored by the heart and is often referred to as the heart spirit. Disquieted heart spirit arises in heart disease when the heart fails to store the spirit, and manifests as heart palpitation, fearful throbbing, susceptibility to fright, heart vexation, and insomnia.
