Diaphragm
膈 〔膈〕 gé
The partition between the chest and abdomen. The diaphragm membrane is below the heart; it is attached to the spine, the rib-side, and abdomen all the way round like a screen that does not leak. It screens out turbid qì and prevents it from fuming the clear paths.

Etymology
Chinese: 膈 gé, from 鬲 gé, partition.
