Damp-heat brewing internally
湿热内蕴 〔濕熱內蘊〕shī rè nèi yùn
Damp-heat brewing in the spleen and stomach and in the liver and gallbladder. Dampness is a heavy, turbid, and stagnant evil that hampers qì dynamic. Heat, when combining with dampness, is difficult to resolve, and has a damaging effect on yáng qì. It is characterized by abiding, high postmeridian fever, generalized heaviness, fatigue and lack of strength, heavy clouded spirit, glomus and fullness in the chest and stomach duct, no thought of food and drink, sticky slimy stool with ungratifying defecation, inhibited urination with yellow or reddish urine. In some cases, there may be jaundice.
