• Enriches the kidney and boosts yīn: Yīn vacuity limp aching lumbus and knees; yáng wilt (impotence).
• Clears the liver and brightens the eyes: Yīn vacuity clouded vision; extreme heat engendering eye sceens.
• Fortifies the spleen and disinhibits water: Yīn vacuity water swelling; drum distnsion (ascites) with scant urine.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct 6–10g or use in pills and powders.

Warnings: Unsuitable for spleen-stomach vacuity cold.

Production area: Most parts of China.
