Properties: Acrid and sweet^✽; slightly cold.^✽

Actions and indications: Dispels wind, clears heat, disperses swelling, and resolves toxin. Treats painful swollen throat; mouth sores; red eyes; eye screens; hemilateral headache and medial headache; toothache; wind-damp; wheezing and panting; strangury; flooding and spotting; vaginal discharge; toxin swelling of clove sores (dīng); injury from knocks and falls; scalds.

Dosage and method: 9–30g.
