Properties: Sweet and slightly bitter*; cool*; nontoxic*.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and drains fire; dries dampness. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); dysentery; toothache; mammary welling-abscesses (rǔ yōng); scrofula.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (30–60g). Topical: Apply crushed.
