Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid; cold; toxic.

Actions and indications: Disperses food, disinhibits water, transforms phlegm, and kills worms. Treats glomus and distension due to food accumulation; water swelling; drum distension; wheezing and panting; scrofula; roundworm.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (12–18g dried, 30–60g fresh), grind to a powder, or steep in wine; can also be stewed with meat.
