Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and sour; cold.

Actions and indications: Clears heat; resolves toxin; promotes lactation; percolates dampness, and relieves itching. Treats acute enteritis; bacillary dysentery; gonorrhea; bloody urine; pulmonary welling-abscesses (fèi yōng); mammary welling-abscesses (rǔ yōng); clove sores (dīng); toxin swellings; eczema; lichen (xiǎn) of the foot; itchy skin.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–9g dried, 15–30g fresh). Topical: Apply crushed or decoct as a wash.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Fújiàn.
