Properties: Astringent and slightly bitter^✽; warm^✽; slightly toxic.^✽

Actions and indications: Warms the kidney, disperses distension, and relieves pain. Treats abdominal distension; stomach pain; mounting qì (shàn qì); taxation damage cough; schistosomiasis.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g).
