Actions and indications: Clears heat, allays thirst, resolves toxin, and dispels drunkenness. Treats malarial disease and dysentery; dispersion-thirst (xiāo kě); headache due to liquor damage (over-drinking); bleeding from hemorrhoids and fistulas; cinnabar toxin; clove sores (dīng).
