Origin in unofficial sources: Trigonotis peduncularis (Trev.) Benth.

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and bitter; cool; nontoxic.^✽

Actions and indications: Treats enuresis; red and white dysentery; effusion of the back (fā bèi); heat swellings; and numbness and tingling of the limbs.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g), extract juice by crushing, or steep in wine. Apply crushed, or grind and sprinkle on the affected area.
