Properties: Sweet and bitter; cold.
Indications:
Clears heat; disinhibits dampness; dispels wind; resolves toxin.
malarial disease; jaundice; water swelling; strangury; rheumatic arthritis; cinnabar toxin; clove sores (dīng).
Dosage & Method: Oral: Decoct (15–24g dried, 30–60g fresh) or steep in wine. Topical: Decoct as a wash or apply crushed.
Quality: Fat stems, green leaves, and absence of seeds are marks of good quality.
Product Area: Most parts of China.
