Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet; cold.

Actions and indications: Clears heat, disperses swelling and resolves toxin. Treats painful swollen throat; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng); clove sores (dīng); cinnabar toxin; scalds; snake bites; jaundice; dysentery.

Dosage and method: Topical: Apply crushed and extract the juice for a mouth wash. Oral: Decoct (9–15g dried, 15–30g fresh) or extract juice.
