Properties: Acrid and bitter; warm; toxic.

Actions and indications: Quickens blood and soothes the sinews; fortifies the spleen and reinforces the kidney. Treats wind-damp lumbar pain; numbness and tingling of the limbs; hemiplegia; impotence; fecal paralysis; infantile paralysis.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g).
