Properties: Acrid and bitter; warm.

Channel entry: Liver and kidney channels.*

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and frees the network vessels; disperses stasis and relieves pain. Treats wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; numbness and tingling of the limbs; injury from knocks and falls; amenorrhea.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g), grind to a powder, or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed.
