Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter; cold; slightly toxic.

Actions and indications: Disinhibits water and frees stool; eliminates stasis and disperses swelling. Treats bound stool; white turbidity; injury from knocks and falls; snake bites; hemorrhoids; damp itching.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–6g dried, 30–60g). Topical: Apply crushed or decoct as a wash.
