Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and acrid; cold.

Actions and indications: Cools the blood and stanches bleeding. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); coughing of blood; nosebleed; blood dysentery; flooding; bleeding from incised wounds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Apply crushed or grind to a powder and sprinkle on the affected area.
