Properties: Slightly sour; balanced.

Actions and indications: Eliminates wind and dampness, stanches bleeding, and relieves pain. Treats hepatitis; flooding; stomach pain; wind-damp joint pain; mounting qì (shàn qì) pain; hemorrhoids; scalds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (30–60g) or stew with meat. Topical: Burn preserving nature, grind, and blend with fluid.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Táiwān, Fújiàn, Yúnnán, Guìzhōu, Húnán.
