Actions and indications: Expels wind; eliminates dampness; disperses swelling; relieves pain. Treats wind-cold-damp impediment (fēng hán shī bì); injury from knocks and falls; hemorrhoids and fistulas; lichen (xiǎn) and sores.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (1.5–3g) or steep in wine. Topical: Grind to a powder and apply mixed or decoct as a wash or steam bath.

Production area: Jiāngsū, Zhèjiāng, Jiāngxī, Fújiàn, Húnán, Húběi, Hénán, Sìchuān, Guìzhōu.
