Properties: Bitter and acrid*; cool*; nontoxic*.

Channel entry: Heart, liver, and spleen channels.*

Actions and indications: Clears heat, disperses blood, disperses swellings, and resolves snake and insect venom.* Treats blood stasis due to injury from knocks and falls; venomous snake bites.*

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Apply crushed.

Production area: Southern China.
