Actions and indications: Regulates menstruation; supplements the kidney and invigorates yáng; promotes contraction and stanches bleeding. Treats vacuity taxation cough; wind-cold-damp impediment (shī bì); hemiplegia; lack of strength in the legs and knees; bleeding.

Dosage and method: Oral: 9–-15~g decocted; can also be steeped in wine.
