Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet, sour, and slightly salty; warm.

Actions and indications: Fortifies the spleen and stomach; enriches, supplements, strengthens and invigorates; regulates menstruation and quickens the blood. Treats generalized emaciation and weakness; qì and blood depletion; disharmony in spleen and stomach; indigestion; menstrual irregularities; pain in the lumbus and abdomen.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g) or grind for use in pills and powders.
