Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid; warm; nontoxic.^✽

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and disperses cold; quickens the blood and soothes the sinews. Treats wind-cold common cold; cough; wheezing and panting; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; menstrual irregularities.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g dried, 30–60g fresh) or steep in wine.
