Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet*; warm*; nontoxic*.

Actions and indications: Stanches bleeding and relieves pain. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); knife wounds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Apply to the affected area; stuff up the nose.

Quality: Dry white inflorescences are the best.

Production area: Héběi, Jiāngxī.
