Properties: Bitter^✽; slightly warm^✽; nontoxic.^✽

Actions and indications: Soothes the sinews and frees the network vessels; stanches bleeding and disperses stasis. Treats lumbar muscle strain; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; expectoration of blood; flooding; menstrual irregularities; injury from knocks and falls; bone fractures; bleeding from wounds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed.
