Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter; warm.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind, eliminates dampness, quickens the blood, and resolves toxin. Treats wind-damp lumbar pain; red and white dysentery; icteric hepatitis; welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū); scrofula; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g) or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed of decoct as a wash.
