Properties: Acrid; cold; toxic.

Actions and indications: Moves water and disperses swelling. Treats water swelling and drum distension; white turbidity; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng) and malign sores.

Quality: Thin grayish-white slices with any black coloration are the best.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī.
