Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and acrid; slightly warm.

Actions and indications: Soothes the sinews and quickens the network vessels; reduces inflammation and disinhibits urine. Treats rheumatic arthritis; lumbar and leg pain; nephritic edema; urinary tract infection; cystitis; urethritis.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g) or steep in wine.
