Use: Medicinal

Properties: Slightly bitter and acrid*; warm*; nontoxic*.

Actions and indications: Rectifies qì, disperses binds, relieves pain, and resolves toxin. Treats pain in the stomach duct and abdomen, and in particular mounting qì (shàn qì, swelling of the testicles or hernia). Can be combined with lizhihe and juhe, as in wuhetang.

Dosage and method: 3–9g.
