Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter*; slightly cold*.

Actions and indications: Clears the liver and cools the blood; brightens the eyes and eliminates screens. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); headache wind; red eyes; blood strangury; menstrual irregularities; vaginal discharge; flooding.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g dried, 30–60g fresh) or stew with meat. Topical: Decoct as a wash.
