Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet; balanced; nontoxic.^✽

Actions and indications: Clears the liver and disinhibits dampness; disperses stasis and transforms accumulations. Treats damp-heat jaundice; summerheat heat; vomiting and diarrhea; water swelling; accumulated taxation stasis; child gān accumulation; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng) and clove sores (dīng).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–15g regular dose, 30–60g large dose). Topical: Apply crushed or decoct as a wash.
