Properties: Acrid; balanced.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and disinhibits dampness; quickens the blood; disperses swelling. Treats chronic gastritis; stomach ulcers; dysentery; paralysis of the lumbus and leg; lumbar and leg pain; swollen sores; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g) or use in powders. Topical: Decoct as a wash.

Notes: This item is used as 海桐皮 in Guǎngdōng Province.
