Properties: Acrid*; warm*.

Actions and indications: Eliminates stasis and relieves pain; normalizes qì and transforms phlegm. Treats swelling pain due to injury from knocks and falls; bone fractures; wind-damp pain; mounting qì (shàn qì); common cold and cough; dysentery; stomach pain.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–12g) or steep in wine. Topical: Apply ground to a powder and wine-fried.

Production area: Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Táiwān.
