Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and sour; hot; toxic.

Channel entry: Spleen, lung, and liver channels.*

Actions and indications: Eliminates phlegm and interrupts malaria; kills worms, and eliminates malign flesh. Treats cold phlegm; wheezing and panting; malarial disease; intermittent dysentery; syphilis; hemorrhoids; scrofula; galloping gān of the teeth and gums; sores and lichen (xiǎn); ulceration that fails to slough the putrid flesh.
