Properties: Acrid; balanced.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind-damp, disinhibits urine, disperses stasis blood, and disperses toxin swelling. Treats rheumatic arthritis; nephritic edema; ascites due to cirrhosis of the liver; acute and chronic hepatitis; stomach pain; turbid strangury; flooding and spotting; injury from knocks and falls; scrofula; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng).
