Ingredients:

• Hè shī (鹤虱 Carpesii Fructus, carpesium seed) 120g
• Xuán míng fěn (玄明粉 Natrii Sulfas Exsiccatus, refined mirabilite) 120g
• Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb) 60g
• Bīng láng (槟榔 Arecae Semen, areca [nut]) 60g
• Kǔ liàn gēn pí (苦楝根皮 Meliae Radicis Cortex, chinaberry root bark) 60g
• Wú yí (芜荑 Ulmi Fructus Praeparatio, elm cake) 60g
• 使君子肉 60g
• Léi wán (雷丸 Omphalia , omphalia) 60g

Action: Expels all worms.

Indication: All types of digestive tract worm infestations.

Category:

Dosage: 6–9g once a day, taken with water on an empty stomach. Reduce the dose for children.

Rationale: Hè shī fruit, Bīng láng, Kǔ liàn pí, Wú yí, Shǐ jūn zǐ, and Mǎ bó kill worms, while Xuán míng fěn and Dà huáng are offensive precipitants that help the works to pass out through the stool. The large number of worm-killing agents ensures that the formula is effective for a broad range of worms.
