Poria Decoction
茯苓汤 〔茯苓湯〕fú líng tāng

Ingredients:
- Chì fú líng (赤茯苓 Poria Rubra, red poria)
- Sāng bái pí (桑白皮 Mori Cortex, mulberry bark)
- Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia)
- Guān guì (官桂 Cinnamomi Cortex Tubiformis, quilled cinnamon [bark])
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome])
- Sháo yào (芍药 Paeoniae Radix, peony [root])
- Má huáng (麻黄 Ephedrae Herba, ephedra)
Action: Warms the channels and disperses cold; courses wind and dispels dampness.
Indication: Cold impediment (bì) with joint pain exacerbated by cold and relieved by heat, and hypertonicity of the arms and legs.
