Arborvitae and Toona Bark--- Pill

Ingredients
- Shū gēn bái pí (樗根白皮 Ailanthi Radicis Cortex, ailanthus root bark) 30g
- Cè bǎi yè (侧柏叶 Platycladi Cacumen, arborvitae leaf) 30g
- Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) (steamed with wine) 9g
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 9g
- Xiāng fù (香附 Cyperi Rhizoma, cyperus [rhizome]) 12g
- Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 9g
- Bái zhǐ (白芷 Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian angelica) (burned preserving nature) 6g
- Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 15g
Actions: Clears heat and eliminates dampness; checks vaginal discharge.
Indications: Damp-heat pouring downward with thick sticky foul-smelling yellow vaginal discharge, dry mouth, painful urination with reddish urine.
Method: Decoct with water.
Rationale: Huáng lián and Huáng bǎi clear heat, dry dampness, and resolve toxin. Toona bark eliminates dampness and resolves toxin. Bái zhǐ eliminates dampness and checks vaginal discharge. Since the liver and spleen are commonly involved in women's diseases, Xiāng fù is added course the liver and regulate qì, Bái sháo to nourish the blood, calm the liver, and regulate its free coursing function, and Bái zhú to fortify the spleen and eliminate dampness.
