Ingredients:

• Bīng piàn (冰片 Borneolum , borneol) 1.5g
• Péng shā (硼砂 Borax , borax) 15g
• Xuán míng fěn (玄明粉 Natrii Sulfas Exsiccatus, refined mirabilite) 15g
• Zhū shā (朱砂 Cinnabaris , cinnabar) 2g

Action: Clears fire and resolves toxin; dispels putridity and disperses swelling.

Indication: Goose-mouth sores, and painful swelling of the throat, gums, or mouth.

Method: Grind the agents together to a powder and dab on the affected area or insufflate.

Rationale: Xuán míng fěn, Bīng piàn, Péng shā, and Zhū shā clear heat and resolve toxin, as well as dispelling putridity.
