Ingredients

• Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 6g
• Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 6g
• Huáng qí (黄芪 Astragali Radix, astragalus [root]) 4.5g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 4.5g
• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 4.5g
• Bái zhǐ (白芷 Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian angelica) 4.5g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 3g
• Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 3g
• Zào jiǎo cì (皂角刺 Gleditsiae Spina, gleditsia thorn) 3g
• Rǔ xiāng (乳香 Olibanum , frankincense) 3g
• Mò yào (没药 Myrrha , myrrh) 3g
• Jīn yín huā (金银花 Lonicerae Flos, lonicera [flower]) 3g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g

Actions: Supplements qì and quickens the blood; reduces swelling and relieves pain.

Indications: Swollen sores that are half yīn and half yáng in nature, i.e., mildly painful, pale red, and warm to the touch, in patients with qì vacuity signs.

Method: Prepare as a decoction with one part water and one part wine.
