Source: Shāng Hán Lùn 伤寒论

Ingredients

• Gé gēn (葛根 Puerariae Radix, pueraria [root]) 12g
• Guì zhī (桂枝 Cinnamomi Ramulus, cinnamon twig) 6g
• Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 6g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 6g
• Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 9g
• Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube) 3 pieces

Actions: Promotes sweating and resolves the exterior.

Indications: Greater yáng disease with stiff nape and back, sweating, and aversion to wind.

Method: Decoct with water.
