Ingredients

• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 3g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 2g
• Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 2g
• Zhī zǐ (栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 1g

Indications: Expectoration and vomiting of blood and nosebleed.

Notes: The formula is so named because three of the agents are yellow (huáng) in color.
