Ingredients

• Yù jīn (郁金 Curcumae Radix, curcuma [root])
• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root])
• Pú huáng (蒲黄 Typhae Pollen, typha pollen).

Indications: Blood strangury, heart vexation, bloody urine, and accumulated heat in the small intestine.

Method: Ingredients in equal proportions.

Rationale: Yù jīn cools the blood and breaks stasis. Pú huáng cools the blood and stanches bleeding. Shēng dì huáng, which enriches yīn and nourishes the blood, helps the blood-cooling and blood-stanching action of the other two agents.
