Yú's Heart-Clearing Diaphragm-Cooling Powder

Ingredients
- Lián qiào (连翘 Forsythiae Fructus, forsythia [fruit]) 9g
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 9g
- Zhī zǐ (栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 9g
- Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 3g
- Shí gāo (石膏 Gypsum Fibrosum, gypsum) 18g
- Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root]) 3g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
Indications: Toxin congesting the qì aspect with persistent
Rationale: Vigorous heat effusion, vexation and thirst, and rapid surging pulse are all signs of exuberant qì aspect heat. Erosion of the throat is due to heat toxin in the lung and stomach damaging the network vessels of the throat. Huáng qín, Lián qiào, Zhī zǐ clear heat and cool the diaphragm. Shí gāo and Bò hé are cool acrid heat-outthrusting agents. Raw Gān cǎo and Jié gěng clear and disinhibit the throat.
