Ingredients

• Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) (or Dǎng shēn (党参 Codonopsis Radix, codonopsis [root])) 9g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 9g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 9g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 3g
• Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 6g

Actions: Fortifies the spleen and boosts qì.

Indications: Spleen-stomach qì vacuity with distension and oppression in the stomach duct and abdomen, and indigestion.

Notes: This is Sì jūn zǐ tāng (四君子汤 Four Gentlemen Decoction) with the addition of Chén pí.
