Ingredients

• Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 60g
• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 60g
• Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb) 60g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 60g
• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 90g
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 30g
• Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 30g
• Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 30g

Actions: Drains fires and expels stasis.

Indications: Blood stasis of the eye with redness, dryness, soreness, and swelling. red eyes, dry eyes, sore eyes, swollen eyes this formula can be used to treat pannus, acute iridocyclitis, and scleritis manifesting in these signs. fy see jianming 807 (主治)

Method: Grind to a powder, blend with honey, and form into pills each weighing 9g. Can also be prepared as a decoction, but the weights must be reduced.

Dosage: 1 pill morning and night.

Rationale: Dà huáng, Huáng lián, Huáng qín, and mind clear heat and drain fire. Dāng guī, Chuān xiōng, Shēng dì huáng, and Chì sháo cool and quicken the blood.
